Meet Dr. Dennis Stiles

Dr. Dennis Stiles is a highly respected dentist and educator with nearly four decades of clinical experience. A native of Amherst, Massachusetts, Dr. Stiles has called Upper Montgomery County home since 1986, where he has built a practice known for comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Dr. Stiles maintains active membership in the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the Maryland Sleep Society, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2017, he achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, reflecting advanced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders.

A dedicated leader in organized dentistry, Dr. Stiles served as President of the American Prosthodontic Society in 2006 and currently serves as President of the American Prosthodontic Foundation. His commitment to education is equally strong. In 2009, he was appointed to the Dean’s Faculty at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he continues to teach AEGD residents in occlusion, comprehensive care, and dental sleep medicine. He has also served on the board of the Maryland Sleep Society and is currently its Past President.

Dr. Stiles’ clinical excellence has been widely recognized. He has been named a Top Dentist by Washingtonian Magazine (2019, 2023, 2024, 2025), Best Dentist by Bethesda Magazine (2024), and Best of Montgomery by The Gazette (2013).

Outside the office, Dr. Stiles enjoys photography, golf, hot yoga, fly fishing, and skiing—pursuits that reflect the balance, focus, and mindfulness he brings to both his professional and personal life.
