Meet Dr. Marie Tigani Stiles

Dr. Marie Tigani Stiles is a highly accomplished dentist with decades of experience providing thoughtful, patient-centered care. A native of Bethesda, Maryland, she has been serving patients in Upper Montgomery County since 1986 and is known for her calm presence, clinical excellence, and dedication to patient comfort.

Dr. Stiles is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Southern Maryland Dental Society. She is also a longtime member of the Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists, where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership, serving as President in 2000 and again from 2012 to 2014.

With a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort, Dr. Stiles is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA), a national organization dedicated to education, research, and the advancement of safe and effective sedation dentistry. She serves on the ADSA Membership Committee and was elected to a two-year term on its Board of Directors in 2017.

Dr. Stiles’ dedication to professional excellence and ethics has been recognized through her induction as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists in 2010 and the American College of Dentists in 2013. In 2009, she was appointed to the Dean’s Faculty at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she has contributed to the education and mentorship of future dentists.

Her clinical excellence has been recognized by her peers and the community alike. Dr. Stiles has been named a Top Dentist by Washingtonian Magazine (2023, 2024, 2025), Best Dentist by Bethesda Magazine (2024), and Best of Montgomery by The Gazette (2013).

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Stiles enjoys volunteering in the community, reading, and traveling. She and her husband, Dr. Dennis Stiles, are the proud parents of three children—Elizabeth, Andrew, and JP—and grandparents to their grandsons, Tommy and George.
